B.Sc. Lecture: Foundations of Interactive Systems with Design Capstone Project on Sustainability with SAP SE

  • Date: 12.04.2024
  • The lecture “Foundations of Interactive Systems” is targeted at bachelor students who are interested in the design of successful human-computer interaction in business and private life. It introduces key concepts and principles of interactive systems from a human and computer perspective. It also teaches core human-centered design processes for interactive systems and provides insights into the use & contexts of interactive systems in business and society.  The course is complemented by a design capstone project, where students work in teams and apply design methods & techniques to create an interactive prototype for a given challenge. In this summer semester, the capstone project is executed in cooperation with SAP SE and focuses on applying the human-centered design process to create an app that supports the achievement of a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), such as reducing food waste (SDG 2), increasing gender equality (SDG 5), or reducing carbon footprint (SDG 13). The first lecture will be offered on April 16th, Tuesday at 9:45 am at “Sitzungssaal” R223 (Build. 10.11).
