Designing a constructive feedback system for applicants

Topic Description

In today's competitive business environment, attracting qualified candidates and ensuring a positive application experience are highly relevant for companies. One effective approach to achieve this is offering real-time constructive feedback to applicants. However, many companies struggle with delivering timely and meaningful feedback. To address this, there is a clear need for efficient and user-friendly solutions that enable companies to provide individual feedback.

Problem

Currently, many companies lack efficient and user-friendly solutions to provide timely and lightweight constructive feedback to applicants during the application process. Often, applicants receive standardized rejection notifications that do not contain specific information about their strengths and areas for improvement. This leads to a missed opportunity to provide valuable feedback and enhance the applicant experience.

Goal

The main objective of this seminar/thesis is to design a prototypical application that supports companies in providing lightweight constructive feedback to applicants during the application process. The prototype should encompass aspects such as personalized feedback, usability, and enhancement of the applicant experience. The prototype should also be evaluated empirically (qualitatively and/or quantitatively) with students.

Requirements

  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
